Trophey Trouble!

Here is another story I whipped up a while ago! This is a much more simple story as it was done in grade 5, but it's still one of my favourites! Have fun reading it!
Trophy Trouble!

On a peaceful afternoon in New Zealand, the only sounds you could hear were the sounds of nature and the swish of Bobby’s skis as he approached his cozy house. First thing he saw was some mail. He picked it up and took off his skis while reading this letter, it was written something like this:

Bobby Briggs, your time trial has been successful.
You have been chosen to represent New Zealand in the Winter Olympics. The date it shall be held will be 2/8/98.
Yours sincerely
John Mart
Head of Olympic Trials.

Bobby read this letter over and over till he collapsed on his chair. After the shock had died down he started packing. John Mart had sent him some tickets for his plane. “This is amazing!” Bobby thought.

When Bobby arrived at his course he was breathless and stunned that his race was on the following evening. He had better get a goodnight’s sleep.

The next morning Bobby awoke fresh and ready for the race. Before he knew it BANG!!!!!! He was off like a bullet, he zoomed ahead of everyone and he passed the finish line with pride. His trophy gleamed like gold in the sun light.
He went to his hotel and stored his trophy in the safe and went for a joy ski.
When Bobby came back to his hotel, he looked for his trophy. “Where is it? Where is it? WHERE IS IT?” he shouted desperately.
Bobby threw everything out of everywhere but no trophy! “Oh dear,” said Bobby as he collapsed on his bed, “What a wonderful day it has been, and now this! How??”
Suddenly a thought hit Bobby. “The safe!” he yelled, as he stumbled over his belongings, As Bobby opened the safe, there was his prized possession. (along with his skis’) There stood the trophy, gleaming in the afternoon sunlight, being just where Bobby left it.
